The 15th of the 8th Lunar Month...

I remembered how when we were young, we used to look forward to the 15th of the Chinese 8th Month. That was when all the four of us would take our old paper lanterns out - the colourful ones which were accordian shaped, and rather flimsy - light them up, and hang them on the fence around our home. It was really fun, with the occassional nerve-wrecking combustion of an unlucky lantern! Those were the days, back where everyone else was still in school, and were still staying at home. This year however, my Mooncake celebration was a little different from all those other years. To sum it all, we celebrated it with 1 box of very good White Lotus mooncakes, 1 wedding, 1 farewell and 1 long-awaited ROM.
