This One's for My Mother...

In this lovely month of May
Everyone would have something to say
To the Mummy, Mother, Mama of their lives,
To some others, your beloved wives.

Mothers were there since our very first day
To hold us tight, make sure we are okay
They are the ones who went out all the way
To make us what we are today.

For nine months she had to wear that baggy dress
And face morning sickness, veins and stress
But the pains and aches are put to rest
When she holds her little one close to her chest.

There were times when Mama got on our nerves
And give us hidings we do not think we deserve
But have we thought how much we've broken her heart
And that she is only doing her Mummy part.

We always think that older means the wiser
But somehow Mama would always know better
For in her heart we will always be
Forever her little baby bunny.

Mama for us you have sacrificed
You bathed, cleaned and boiled our rice
A mere thank you could never suffice
For a woman who never asked to be pleased.

Mama we love you very much
Never again will we find a love so pure as such
For you are the priceless gem of our lives
You are the reason we thrive, succeed and survive.
